These adorable self-propelling boats are individually sculpted from Western Red Cedar. Powered by a rubber band and Marine Ply propeller these boats are ideal for water play at bath time or in a rock pool or lake. Western Red Cedar is naturally mould resistant and when left raw releases an aromatic scent when wet. When the wood is dry, these boats are light in colour and the wood transforms into a lustrous darker grain when wet.
Boats are also available oiled with a natural food-safe and water-resistant oil. Theses boats retain a constant colour and lustre of grain whether dry or wet but the oil finish prevents the timber from releasing the beautiful Western Red Cedar scent when wet.

AGES: Children must always be supervised in water. Bath boats are suitable for all ages from 6 months under adult supervision.
Timber is a natural product and so grain and colour vary greatly from light to dark. Photos of the boats attempt to show this natural variation and supply of any one colour or grain cannot be guaranteed.
Care of your Self-Propelling Boat:
Wooden products can last for many generations given a little love and care. Western Red Cedar, left untreated, will weather to a beautiful soft silver grey and over time, will emit less aromatic scent. Briefly rub the boat, along the grain, with some 320 grit sandpaper and the boat will return to its former colour and again emit the wonderful scent. Do not sand the marine ply propeller – this has been treated with a natural food-safe and water-resistant oil. The propeller can be re-oiled with a natural wood oil, if needed.
